Emergency Water Removal in Port Coquitlam
Citadel window wells and central Port Coquitlam floor drains. Emergency pumping between the rivers and the hill.
Port Coquitlam splits in half during a rain. Citadel Heights, Oxford Heights, and the northern streets send water at a window well and a steep driveway. Central Port Coquitlam, Mary Hill, and the river-side streets deal with a high water table and older laterals that back up at the basement drain. Riverwood and Lincoln Park can go either way depending on the lot. We ask which one before we tell you the water is clean.
Low streets and a tired sump
Tri-Cities rain plus rivers that are already high makes the flat streets nervous. A sump that dies, or a backwater valve nobody has pulled in years, fills an older basement. We pump it. If the water came up the floor drain, the pad and the bottom of the drywall are garbage. If it was a laundry hose, the category is cleaner and more of the room can stay. Do not guess and start a fan.
Window wells on the Citadel
Newer houses on the hill take a fast flood at one well. Laminate swells at that wall first. We extract, lift the swollen floor, and aim air at the uphill concrete. The foyer two storeys up is a different leak, usually a valley in the roof, and we keep that scope separate so the claim stays readable.
While you wait
Stay out of a basement if you can see outlets in the water. Shut the main for a supply leak you can reach dry. Photograph the drain or the well, whichever is the inlet. In central bungalows the washing-machine hose is a classic, and keeping the burst hose matters for the insurer.
The slab near the river wicks
A cool basement in the low neighbourhoods dries slowly. A box-store dehumidifier over a weekend will not finish it. We log the concrete daily. If the sump is still unreliable, drying is temporary and we will say that on site rather than pretend the equipment is a cure.
