Appliance Leak Cleanup in Port Coquitlam
Central Port Coquitlam loses a basement to a washer hose. Citadel Heights loses a kitchen floor, or the ceiling under an upstairs machine.
Mary Hill, Lincoln Park, and the central bungalows take a basement hose, and the standpipe has to be checked so a backup is not filed as a clean supply. Citadel Heights and Oxford Heights take a main-floor dishwasher, an ice-maker behind a newer fridge, or a washer on the upper floor that stains the lid below. Riverwood closets add a tank, sudden volume on a slab.
The machine comes out, the failed hose gets bagged, and the floor or the ceiling it reached gets dried before anyone slides the appliance back.
Mary Hill washer hose with the standpipe checked first
We pull the washer and see whether the water came from the hose or up the standpipe. A clean hose and a dirty standpipe are different cleans, and they can share a laundry room. Lincoln Park basements of that era get the pad lifted if it sat, and the wall behind the machine opened if the plate is wet.
You can replace the hose. We keep the failed one and dry the slab past the puddle.
Citadel Heights dishwasher kick on a hill kitchen
Swollen board comes out. Dry boxes stay. On a slope, water leaves the kick and runs toward the exterior wall, so that wall gets a reading too. Oxford Heights kitchens with the dishwasher on an outside wall follow that path.
The subfloor toward the hall is part of the meter. A calm doorway can still be soft.
Oxford Heights ice-maker behind a fridge that looked fine
Same-day is worth it. The tube has usually been running longer than the stain suggests. Pull the fridge, lift the underlayment along the soft line, and check the plate at the end of the run. The kitchen can look calm from the hall.
Citadel upstairs laundry, when the machine is on the second floor, is the ceiling version. The lid under the closet opens if the bay is wet. The ice-maker and the upstairs washer should not be written as one footprint.
Riverwood closet tank emptied onto the slab
Keep the failed fitting. Picture it before the tank is hauled. Dry the concrete past the closet, including the hall, before the door of that closet is closed up. A weekend with the tank gone and the floor still wet just moves the moisture into the baseboards.
Volume from a tank and a weep from an ice-maker need different notes. The fitting in the bag is the difference.
