Floor & Hardwood Water Damage Restoration in Pitt Meadows

Pitt Meadows basement carpet comes out after sump water. Vinyl on a floodplain slab hides concrete that is still feeding the room.

Downtown Pitt Meadows, Pitt Polder edge, Bonson, Central Pitt Meadows, and the rest of Pitt Meadows

Bonson, Meadow Gardens, Central Pitt Meadows, and the polder edge have basement floors close to groundwater. A sump event, or a tank leak onto an already cool slab, wets the covering and the concrete. Harris Road shops are slab floors at grade. There is little heroic hardwood in these buildings. The floor is a lid over a wet plane.

Carpet and pad that sat in water from a sump come out. We do not dry them in place. A short, clean supply-line wet is the only maybe for the carpet face, and even then the pad is usually done.

Bonson pad out after water crossed the sump

Sump water ends the carpet conversation. The pad comes out, the carpet comes out, and the slab is dried on readings. Meadow Gardens basements with the pit in the mechanical room get that same removal, then air on the concrete.

A hose that failed and never touched the pit is the narrow exception, and we will say if that is actually what we found. The pad is still usually finished.

The sheet hides the concrete. We pull it back so the slab can be dried. Putting the vinyl down the next day traps the moisture. These slabs wick. A floor that has always felt a bit cold may have been a bit wet, and this is the visit that meters it properly.

If the readings stall because the ground is still pushing moisture, the sump has to be reliable before a new floor makes sense.

A supply line caught immediately, with no sump and no drain in the mix, is the case where we talk about the carpet face. The pad still usually goes. Anything that sat overnight, or anything that came from the pit, is a removal.

The basement is the floor story here. Upstairs boards, if the house has them and they stayed dry, stay out of the tear-out.

If the core swelled or the underlayment is wet, it comes up. Merchandise comes off the concrete. Grade retail does not get a hardwood speech. The slab is dried, and the new floor or the old covering waits on readings.

A ditch at the threshold and a roof drip can both wet this floor. The lift follows the wet underlayment either way.
