Water Damage Restoration in Richmond
Richmond water damage restoration for slab houses, townhouses, and city-centre suites. Floors come up. There is no basement to hide in.
Restoring Richmond means restoring a ground floor. Steveston, Seafair, Broadmoor, and Hamilton are slabs and ranchers. Brighouse adds towers and townhouse stacks. Full basements are the exception, so a scope that assumes a stairwell and a sump pit is the wrong scope. Water sits at the slab edge, under vinyl, in a garage, or between suites. The rebuild starts when that concrete is dry, which is slower than people think.
Lift, then dry, then put back
Tile and vinyl hide water. Laminate swells and seals the slab. We take up what is sealing the moisture, dry with mats and dehumidification, and meter the mud bed. Putting the same vinyl back the next day traps the loss. A dishwasher or fridge line that ran under the floor may show at a doorway two rooms from the appliance.
Roofs with nowhere to hide
Low-slope roofs fail at a drain or a skylight, and a one-storey rancher has almost no attic. The ceiling is the roof assembly. Wet insulation comes out, the bay gets air, then the lid is patched. Townhouse ceilings fail from the unit above instead. Those are different repairs and different people to notify.
Baseboards and party walls
Mold on the back of a baseboard is a clue the slab edge never dried, not a cleaning task. After a stack leak, the party wall may be wet on both sides. Restoration includes the cavity, not a wipe of the paint. We will say if the neighbour's side has to be opened.
East Richmond bays and Steveston retail
Flat roofs and tenant lines flood industrial and retail units. The finished floor is the loss. We dry the slab before anyone talks about reopening the shop. Contents get separated from the structure in the photos so the claim is readable.
