Storm Damage Restoration in Port Moody

Port Moody storms come off the inlet and down Heritage Mountain. Exposed walls, skylight valleys, and ramps at the bottom of the grade.

Moody Centre, Heritage Mountain, Pleasantside, April Road, and the rest of Port Moody

Pleasantside and Heritage Mountain take volume at wells and at skylights. Moody Centre and April Road take older roofs and basement drains under the same sky. Inlet Centre takes a ramp and a podium drain. Wind off the water drives rain at walls that face the inlet, and at low roofs along Clarke and St. Johns that clog with leaves.

We check the outside well and the ceiling inside before we pick one story. They are often both wet, and they are not the same repair.

Heritage Mountain well and the vault below the skylight

Ask both. Outside, the well and the slope. Inside, the vault, because the stain sits below the hole. We divert the well if it is still overflowing, open the vault, and pull the fill. A cover goes on the curb when the mountain wind allows it.

College Park houses on the same slope follow that paired check. A window-well flood and a roof opening can share an evening.

Pleasantside wall facing weather off the inlet

Window heads and the top of the wall take wind-driven rain. We open the ceiling corner and the cavity, and we cover the head. Low commercial roofs near the inlet fail at the drain in a leaf-heavy storm. The shop ceiling is that roof, and the drain has to be cleared or the indoor work repeats.

April Road houses with older roofs show a stain faster because the attic is modest. The lid gets opened if the bay is wet.

Inlet Centre ramp running like a creek at the bottom of the grade

Parkades at the low end of the hill take the ramp. We pump the stall and name the ramp drain. If a suite is also dripping, tell us both. They may be unrelated, and both can be urgent: one is grade at the ramp, one is a podium drain or a stack.

We dry the concrete we are in and we keep the two paths in separate lines of the note.

Moody Centre village roof with a short attic

Smaller attics, faster stains. We open the wet lid, cover the flashing or the drain, and dry the top of the wall where the water ran down. A basement drain that surcharged in the same storm is a second inlet, dirtier than rain through a shingle, and it gets its own description.

Clarke Street shops get the leaf-blocked drain called out so the building clears it before the next cell.

Questions about storm damage restoration in Port Moody

Heritage Mountain in a storm. Well or roof?

+
We check both. The well outside and the ceiling inside. One can be wet without the other, and sometimes both are.

The Inlet Centre ramp is running and a suite is dripping. Related?

+
Maybe not. Tell us both. A ramp and a suite lid can be two emergencies from one sky.

Moody Centre shop drain blocked with leaves?

+
That is the storm failure on a low roof. We dry the interior, and the drain has to be cleared or it returns.
