Sewage Cleanup & Restoration in Port Moody

Moody Centre laterals back up into house basements. An Inlet Centre stack puts sewage in the suite under the fixture that overflowed.

Moody Centre, Heritage Mountain, Pleasantside, April Road, and the rest of Port Moody

April Road and Moody Centre are the house backups. Heritage Mountain and Pleasantside are usually slope water, not sewage, unless a fixture overflowed. Inlet Centre and College Park buildings are stacks. A floor drain in a Clarke or St. Johns kitchen is the commercial version, and that room stays closed until it is clean and dry.

One floor drain is enough of an inlet. We do not wait for a deep flood before the basement is treated as contaminated.

Moody Centre basement contained off the family stair

You can be upstairs if the basement is isolated. Do not use a basement bathroom on that line. Porous debris comes out, masonry and concrete are washed, and the cavity is dried. April Road houses with a single laundry drain get that same split between the floors.

The lateral is a plumber's. The rooms it wet are ours.

Inlet Centre overflow documented in both suites

The suite below is the wet one. The suite above is the source. Both get written down. Corridors that were walked get included. Responsibility is a strata question. The damage in the lower suite still gets cleaned.

College Park stacks follow that two-suite note. A wiped bathroom floor without the corridor is how the smell moves.

Heritage Mountain well left off the sewage label

A window-well flood is soil and rain. Ask us to class the water before anyone requests a sewage gut. If a basement bath backed up in the same storm, that room is sewage and the well is a separate note.

Pleasantside slope houses get the same sorting. Brown water at the uphill wall is not automatically a sewer.

St. Johns floor drain in a food business

The room closes. A commercial kitchen drain that let go is contents and structure, and staff do not work through it. Porous goods that sat in it are listed and bagged. Hard surfaces are washed after the debris is out.

The building or a plumber clears the drain. Reopening waits on a clean, dry floor.

Questions about sewage cleanup & restoration in Port Moody

Can we stay in a Moody Centre house during the backup cleanup?

+
Upstairs, if the basement is isolated. Leave the basement bathroom unused.

Inlet Centre overflow from above. Who pays?

+
The strata will have a view. We still clean the damage in the suite and we write the path from the upper fixture to the lower ceiling.

Should a Heritage Mountain well flood be booked as sewage?

+
Only if sewage entered. The well is usually soil and rain. We class it before finishes are condemned.
