Mold Removal in Port Moody
Crews bag colonized Heritage Mountain batts on the uphill wall and pull Moody Centre joist fill during mold removal in Port Moody.
Heritage Mountain insulation holds the colony on the hill-side foundation. Those batts come out, and the board over them comes out to a cut line above the growth. Moody Centre, Pleasantside, April Road, and College Park are older village floors. The joists under them lose their fill through a hatch bag-out. Inlet Centre is suites. The shared wall gets poly, negative air, and a bag path that does not dust the corridor. Pleasantside and College Park bags are tied in the bay and passed up sealed, the same as Moody Centre. April Road joists that are still hard get the HEPA pass, and the soft ends leave in their own bag. Inlet Centre bags stay sealed on the taped corridor path.
The uphill bay stays open until the studs left in place are clean and dry. After that checkpoint we are still hauling bags. A HEPA vacuum finishes the wood that stays. Fog behind new batts would leave the mold in the wall.
Heritage Mountain batt bag-out on the uphill foundation wall
Heritage Mountain batts on the uphill wall are the first thing into the bag. We open the board to a cut line above the colony, pull the insulation, and seal it before it leaves the poly. Negative air holds the lower floor. The studs that stay get a HEPA vacuum.
Soft plate on that uphill length leaves with the batts. Hard plate stays, detailed and vacuumed. What leaves the house is the fill and the colonized board. Putting new batts over the old ones would bury the mold against the foundation again.
Moody Centre joist bag-out under the older village floor
Moody Centre joists lose their colonized fill through the hatch. Poly rings the opening and negative air pulls into the crawl. Bags are filled below and passed up sealed. Hard wood gets a HEPA vacuum. Soft ends are cut back and bagged.
April Road houses with the same village floor use that bag-out. Debris on the soil that is part of the growth leaves too. The kitchen stays covered and outside the dust. The takeout is the material on the truck, not a spray into a closed hatch.
Pleasantside crawl bag-out with sealed bags at the hatch
Pleasantside crawls get sealed bags at the hatch, not loose fill on the porch. We cut the dirty batts free, bag them in the bay, and HEPA the joists before the poly comes off. Negative air stays on for the whole pass.
College Park floors on the older grid follow the same bag-out when the colony is on the wood. Sound lumber stays. Punky lumber leaves. The path from hatch to truck is short and protected. A fog in the crawl leaves every batt where we found it.
Inlet Centre suite bag-out after the stack wet the wall
Inlet Centre suite walls get a contained bag-out after the stack wets the cavity. Poly seals the work zone. Negative air keeps the corridor clean. We cut past the mold, bag the board and the fill, and HEPA the studs that stay.
Bags leave sealed, on a taped path. Soft base on that wall goes with them. There is no crawl in this building. The bag-out is the party wall, carried out of the suite. An open cut and a fan would share the dust with the hallway.
