Mold Removal in Surrey
Crews bag Newton and Whalley joist batts and cut Cloverdale and Fraser Heights board that was closed wet during mold removal in Surrey.
Newton joists shed their colonized batts during the bag-out, and Whalley crawls do the same along the rim. The fill comes off the wood, goes into a bag in the bay, and leaves through the hatch under negative air. Cloverdale and Fraser Heights are newer walls. Someone closed board over a damp cavity, and the paper face is now the colony. That board and the insulation behind it come out to a cut line.
South Surrey loses baseboard and the lower wall where a slab edge stayed wet. Guildford loses the same lower band in finished basements. A bay goes back together only after the wood left in place is clean and dry. Until then the job is bags, a HEPA vacuum on the studs, and poly at the stair. Newton and Whalley bags come up the hatch sealed, and the new-wall bags go up the stair. Fog in a closed wall does not take the colony to the truck.
Newton crawl joist bag-out with the batts sealed in bags
Newton joists lose the batts that are colonized, bagged in the bay before they pass the hatch. Poly rings the opening. Negative air keeps the bungalow hallway from collecting a film of dust. Debris on the soil that is stuck to the growth goes out with the fill.
Joists that are still hard get a HEPA vacuum and a brush on the surface growth. Wood that crumbles is cut back to sound fibre and bagged. We are not leaving a dirty batt because the rest of the bay looks pale. The bag-out is whatever is actually colonized.
Whalley rim bay bag-out before the hatch poly comes down
Whalley rims often hold the colony where the fill meets the outside edge. We cut the batt free along a clean line, bag it below, and HEPA the rim board before the containment comes off. Bags leave through the side door when that path is shorter than the hall.
The poly stays up for the whole pass. A fan pointed at an open hatch would dust the laundry and call it airflow. Negative air pulls the other way, into the crawl, until the last bag is tied and the wood that stays has been vacuumed.
Cloverdale basement wall bag-out past the wet cut line
Cloverdale basements that were boarded while the cavity was still damp lose that board. We find the top of the colony and snap a cut line in clean paper. Batts behind the cut come out in bags. Studs that stay get a HEPA vacuum under negative air.
Poly walls off the stair so the upper floor laminate never sees the load. Soft plate material on that length leaves with the board. Hard plate gets detailed and vacuumed. The bag-out is the closed-over section, carried to the truck, not a wash of the paint.
Fraser Heights cavity bag-out of batts behind new drywall
Fraser Heights walls can look new and still hide a colony in the batts. We open to a cut line, bag the insulation, and bag the paper face that grew with it. Negative air stays on the basement zone. The upstairs stays outside the poly.
South Surrey and Guildford slab-edge walls get a lower version of the same cut. Baseboard leaves, fuzzy board leaves, and the slab gets a HEPA pass once the soft pieces are gone. What leaves the house is that material in sealed bags. The newness of the paint does not save it.
